Hoyt, Jr. was elected the Forty-Eighth Bishop of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in 1994 at the General Conference in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the Presiding Prelate of the Seventh Episcopal District which encompassed the New York –Washington Region and the Carolina Region. Senior Bishop Hoyt was married to Ocie (nee Oden) Hoyt, and was the father of two children, Doria and Thomas III”…..REST IN PEACE BISHOP HOYT!!!6

What a beautiful tribute! He had such a genuine smile … can’t help but smile when you see such joy on someone’s face. I know his family & friends will definitely appreciate this. 🙂
Thanks Cyndi….He was truly a “Gentle Giant” and the CME Church is in great mourning over his passing, however we know he is in a better place and that we will see him again.
